Heterentropy, a fusion of the term ‘entropy’ from the realm of physics and the evocative Greek word ‘heterontropy,’ signifying a sense of intriguing discomfort and unease, represents the interplay between complex systems, human systems, such as bands.
The world of 2019 seems now like a distant dream. Like a lie we once lived into. Sediment Bruise released ‘In Between’ and embarked on their longest (up to that point) tour in Greece and Europe. Driven by the positive reviews of their album by audience and critics, they began working on new material back then, pushing themselves to continue at the same pace. Everything seemed to work in their favor.
And then, silence. Covid arrived. They couldn’t perform live, or even rehearse. Relatives and family members got sick. Panic disorders arose. Members left the band. The once vividly moving waters became dangerously stagnant. Severe changes brought that system, the band, to the brink of dissolution.
Yet, they endured this difficult period, and distilled its essence into four songs, which they present to you, with total sincerity, through the digital release of their EP ‘Heterentropy’.
Sediment Bruise are back! Stripped down, ready to fully expose the difficult truth of the last few years…
